Davey Faragher
has been the bassist for Elvis Costello's backing band
The Imposters since 2001. Prior to his association
with Costello, Faragher was probably best known as
a member of the band Cracker in the early 1990s. Faragher shared a writing
credit on the bands 1993 hit "Low."
In the mid 1970s Davey recorded three albums as the
Faragher Brothers with his brothers Danny, Jimmy and
Tommy. The band was renamed simply 'The Faraghers' for a fourth album, featuring
fifth brother Marty and sister Pammy.
Faragher has worked much of his career as a session musician, recording with such notables as Dusty Springfield, David Crosby, Olivia Newton-John, The Monkees,
John Hiatt, Sheryl Crow, Suzanna Hoffs, Joan Osborne, John Phillips, Bonnie Raitt,
Allen Toussaint, Elvis Costello and Buddy Guy.
